The "Bureau of Defaulters" is not sending you an email with a copy of your arrest warrant. The email is the most recent scam already affecting a handful of Valley residents.

“Because it sounds like it could be a true government agency, I think that, and just the fact that they’re saying that you will be arrested, is causing folks to want to know more and download that attachment,” Thompson said.
Thompson said the only attachment is malware, software which is designed to distrupt computer systems. If you do receive this email, she said the best thing to do is to delete it immediately.
A government agency will never contact you through email, Thompson said.
