Misclassifying Workers Significant Problem In Wage Disputes

The minimum wage is going up in some areas of the U.S. and fast food workers across the country were recently involved in protests as part of the "Fight for $15" to get higher salaries for lower-wage workers. 

Here in Arizona, exotic dancers are suing three Valley strip clubs for alleged unpaid tips and wages. At those clubs, the dancers aren’t employees, they’re independent contractors.

Ross Eisenbrey is Vice President of the Economic Policy Institute. He said misclassifying workers is a significant problem.
