GPEC President Chris Camacho Discusses Trade Relationship Between Arizona And Mexico

One of the world’s richest men was in Phoenix yesterday to talk about Arizona’s relationship with Mexico. Governor Doug Ducey introduced Carlos Slim Helu.

According to the Greater Phoenix Economic Council, there’s an average of $13 to $14 billion dollars worth of exchange between Arizona and Mexico each year. But five years ago today, that relationship took a bit of a hit when then-Governor Jan Brewer signed SB 1070 into law.

For more on how that affected trade and what’s changed since then, we turn to Chris Camacho, GPEC’s President and CEO.
