ASU Professor Alesha Durfee Talks About Domestic Violence Among Women

This week, police arrested Phoenix Mercury star Brittney Griner and her fiancée Glory Johnson, of the WNBA’s Tulsa Shock, on assault and disorderly conduct charges. The incident is considered a domestic violence offense.

According to reports, Griner told police the couple was having relationship problems. Domestic violence involving athletes has been in the news a lot lately, but people don’t often think or talk about it when both people involved are women.

To talk more about this, we turn to Alesha Durfee, Associate Professor and Graduate Director of Women and Gender Studies at ASU’s School of Social Transformation.
