A group of architects, structural engineers and contractors, among other people, has finished a building assessment on the 1938 Works Projects Administration building at the Arizona State Fairgrounds in Phoenix.
That was the building at the center of a controversy last summer after the fair announced plans to tear it down.
The assessment looked at both the interior and exterior, and all aspects of possible repairs.

The WPA Administration building is not the only historic building at the fairgrounds that needs some love - McPherson says there are five others. And next month, an Oregon-based company will be here to do some 3-D surveying of one of them. We also talked with Paul Tice, founder and CEO of ToPa 3D.
