DREAMers celebrated a judge's decision granting in-state tuition at Maricopa Community Colleges in 2015.

On Tuesday, Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Arthur Anderson ruled that young immigrants who qualify for deferred action under an Obama administration policy are eligible for in-state tuition.

Anderson said that’s because the federal Department of Homeland Security determined they are lawfully present in the U.S.

The ruling applies to students who attend any of the Maricopa County Community College District schools.

KJZZ’s Jude Joffe-Block was at Phoenix College on Wednesday morning as a group of DREAMers held a news conference to talk about Anderson’s decision.
