Heat-associated deaths in Arizona were down significantly in 2014.
According to preliminary data from the Arizona Department of Health Services, about 86 people died from exposure to excessive heat last year. That’s down from 151 the year before.
The state has seen a steady drop in heat related deaths since 2010.
