A few years back, the Heard Museum hosted an exhibit that featured a ceramic vase. On that vase, the artist had painted a picture of the Incredible Hulk and his father as a boy reading a comic book.

That got Ann Marshall, director of curation and education at the Heard thinking about super heroes and their place in American Indian culture. The result is a new exhibit opening Saturday at the museum, called “ Super Heroes: Art! Action! Adventure!

Ann Marshall is Director of Curation and Education at the Heard Museum. The exhibit opens Saturday afternoon and will be up through Aug. 23. And if you go, don’t worry if you forget your cape at home — they’ve got a bunch you can borrow while you’re there.
