Census Numbers Show More Are Moving To Arizona

If you think there are more people on the freeway or in line at the grocery store, there’s a reason for that. The latest census numbers show more people are moving into Arizona.

The Phoenix area grew by almost 85,000 people between July 1, 2013, and 2014.

Tucson grew by more than 6,000 people pushing the metro Tucson area past the one million mark.

Pinal County had the 44th-fastest growth rate in the country.

The Census Bureau's Population Estimates Program showed that growth continued in the south and west. Each of the 15 fastest-growing cities between 2013 and 2014 were in southern and western states.
