Friday's Valley Fire was burning 20 miles northeast of Phoenix.

A small wildfire that broke out Friday about 20 miles northeast of Phoenix is no longer progressing.

Tonto National Forest officials say the Valley Fire has burned 11 acres along State Route 87. Four engines, a hotshot crew and a helicopter have been deployed and "the forward rate of progress has stopped."

The fire is under investigation but is believed to be human caused.

The Arizona Department of Transportation said State Route 87 has reopened for Memorial Day Weekend travel.
