The Story Behind A Legendary Phoenix Public Service Announcement

The Valley was struggling with a hepatitis outbreak in the late 1970s and early 1980s. And when officials realized that kids in daycare were bringing the illness home to their parents, some of whom were getting really sick, they decided to act.

Naturally, it was determined that a public service announcement with a catchy (some would say annoying) jingle could do the trick and limit the spread of the illness.
