Traffic is expected with Comicon this weekend in downtown Phoenix and the price of parking in can take a toll.
Ann Glaser with Valley Metro said the best way to avoid the traffic and the increased parking rates is to take the light rail.
“There are light rail stations that are close by. The westbound station is located at 3rd Street and Washington and the eastbound location is located at 3rd Street and Jefferson. So it will get you right downtown and close to the convention center,” Glaser said.
Glaser said Valley Metro is prepared to deal with the increased ridership expected for this weekend. The cost of a light rail ticket is $2.00.
