How Dangerous Is The World For Journalists?

On June 2, 1976, Arizona Republic reporter Don Bolles was blown up in the middle of the day near downtown Phoenix. He died 11 days later.

We looked back at the Arizona Project, which is how reporters responded to Bolles’ killing.

We also talked with Joel Simon, executive director of the Committee to Protect Journalists, about how dangerous the current world is for reporters.

Steve Goldstein was a host at KJZZ from 1997 to 2022.
