Former Pima County Judge Lillian Fisher Dies

Former Pima County Superior Court Judge Lillian Fisher, who was credited with establishing Arizona Court Appointed Special Advocates, has died at the age of 93.

CASA volunteers are appointed by a judge to speak up for abused and neglected children in court.

Fisher attended Law School at the University of Arizona and was one of three women in the graduating class of 1963.

She served as a Superior Court judge for 17 years.
