A report this week from the W.P. Carey School of Business at ASU found this year’s Super Bowl, played in Glendale, had an economic impact of nearly $720 million for the Valley.

Also this week, Arizona tourism officials reported 40 million visitors to the state last year generated almost $21 billion in spending — both numbers were higher than in 2013.

To get a sense of tourism’s impact on the state and its economy, we turn to Christine Vogt, director of the Center for Sustainable Tourism at ASU.
