Laughlin-Bullhead International Airport Looks To Expand

The Laughlin-Bullhead International Airport is looking to expand its runway and return commercial airline service with the help of a $750,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation.

The airport said they need to prove community support for the dollar-matching grant. Now, with a $10,000 donation from the Bullhead City Chamber of Commerce, they said they are one step closer.

Jeremy Keating with the airport said the recent donation will help demonstrate they’re a viable airport for business.

“The grant allows us to have enough money to basically have enough money to dangle a carrot in front of an air carrier so they can minimize their risk for starting new air service,” Keating said.

The airport has been working to get back commercial service they lost it in 14 years ago. Keating said they have been in contact with multiple air carriers who have expressed interest.
