In its just-completed term, the Supreme Court ruled on some very controversial issues — including same sex marriage and the Affordable Care Act. And with the presidential race already including nearly 20 candidates, we’re bound to see nasty comments and insults hurled from all directions.
But what about civil conversations and an exchange of ideas? Where will those come from?
We talked with Dr. Carolyn Lukensmeyer, executive director of the National Institute for Civil Discourse — which is headquartered at the University of Arizona in Tucson.
