Wickenburg Flood Clean Up Continues

The town of Wickenburg is still making efforts to clean up the neighborhoods largely affected by Saturday night's flood.

Spokesperson Josh Wright said many people are coming together to help throughout the cleanup process.

"Wickenburg is a very strong community that takes care of each other very well," Wright said.  "I think we are seeing that with all the volunteer efforts that have been out recently. Neighbors helping neighbors, [and] folks coming in the community to help individual homeowners who perhaps otherwise would not be eligible for any assistance."

According to Wright, the largest impact from the flood was in Vista Del Pueblo in the vicinity of Jack Burden Road, Constellation Road and El Recreo Drive. Homes in the area experienced water or debris entering their homes and properties. There were no fatalities or injuries reported. Multiple crews are working around the clock in order to remove the large volume of mud and debris from the roads.

A timeline for reopening the closed roads is unknown.
