Arizona ROC Revokes Licenses For Paddock Pools, Cameo Pools

The Arizona Registrar of Contractors has revoked the licenses of a pair of iconic swimming pool construction companies.

Agency spokesman Jim Knupp said Paddock Pools and Cameo Pools have lost their licenses after abandoning customer projects and leaving dangerous surroundings in Valley backyards.

“It ranges from lines drawn on the ground with a shoe, to the idea of 12-foot holes being dug in the ground with electrical run and rebar and pipes but then none of them were actually completed,” Knupp said.

Knupp said Camelback Pools, which operated under the Paddock brand, is being penalized for two citations, where 24 violations were found, but that the agency has another 60 complaints moving through the system.

He said the contractors and their owners will be barred from re-applying for a license or applying for a new license to build pools for at least a year and could eventually be forced to pay customers back.
