Advanced Medical Technology Raises Questions Of Cyber Security

Medical devices are increasingly becoming more high tech. People with insulin pumps, for example, can upload their blood-sugar levels directly to their doctor.

But with those technological advances come concerns about who else might see sensitive medical information — or worse.

For more on this, we turn to Dr. David Armstrong, a professor in the Department of Surgery at the U of A. We reached him at a meeting of the Cyber security Standard for Connected Diabetes Devices Steering Committee in Maryland.
