Westbound lanes of the Interstate 10 Tex Wash Bridge in Desert Center, Calif., about 50 miles west of the Arizona state line, will reopen Friday at noon.
The California Department of Transportation reports crews will strengthen the westbound side to allow two-way traffic, one lane in each direction.
Crews will start working on the eastbound side of the structure, once I-10 reopens, to get it operational.
CalTrans reports it inspected other bridges in the area and crews are working on minor repairs the Adair Ditch Bridge and the Hillock Ditch Bridge.
