Earlier this week, a majority of Navajo Nation voters decided to eliminate the requirement that presidential and vice presidential candidates be fluent in Navajo.
That ends a battle that hit its height during last fall’s presidential campaign.
We talked to KJZZ’s Laurel Morales, who has been reporting on the issue, to find out what will change going forward.
