While a judge heard arguments today that could impact whether around 350,000 Arizonans get to keep their Medicaid coverage, a Nashville-based charity helps five Arizona clinics get medication to patients who can’t afford it.
Dispensary of Hope started as a plan by a physician to give expiring samples to people who could use them. The group now gets meds that have up to six months left before they expire and sends them to clinics around the country.
Chris Palombo is the charity’s CEO.
