The 161st Air Refueling Wing at Sky Harbor airport was recently honored as the most outstanding mission support group in the entire Air National Guard, which has more than 100 wings across the country.
One of its tasks is mid-air refueling.
There are eight refueling planes stationed at Sky Harbor where Lt. Colonel Paul Aguirre serves as the Logistics Readiness Squadron Commander.
