Fighting wildfires is a dangerous and difficult job. But researchers said those of us in other lines of work could learn some things from firefighters about dealing with unpredictable and chaotic situations in our own offices.
Kathleen Sutcliffe is a professor in the schools of business and medicine at Johns Hopkins University and co-author of a paper on this subject, which was published in the Journal of Contingencies and Crisis Management.
