Most states can point with pride to being the home of some of the greatest works of fiction in American history.

But Tom Zoellner, fifth-generation Arizonan and author of " A Safeway in Arizona," argues that this state doesn’t have its own Great American Novel.

Zoellner wrote about the topic for Phoenix New Times and we talked with him about it.
