When you’re driving around Phoenix and you’re stopped at an intersection, take an extra second when the light turns green. That seems to be the message of a report issued by the National Coalition for Safer Roads. It lists Phoenix as the second-most dangerous city in America for red-light running — 127 people died in red-light crashes in the city from 2004 to 2013.
Jordan Hibbs is President of the Valley-based Red Means Stop Traffic Safety Alliance. The organization was started by parents of children who were killed or seriously injured by red-light runners.
