Arizona State University students on the downtown campus now have another way of getting around the area.

A 14-passenger van will take students to downtown apartments and dorms and to the parking lots up to Fourth Avenue. The shuttle is provided by ASU Undergraduate Student Government Downtown.

Corina Tapscott, president of ASU Undergraduate Student Government Downtown, said she hopes the service can help the transportation needs of students.

"We have a complex parking problem when it comes to downtown," Tapscott said.  "So, the hope is that while we don’t have the perfect solution of being able to build three towers of parking for our students, we’re hoping that [the service] can help accommodate those students who do have to park farther away and help bring them back to campus."

Tapscott added that the van will take students to a nearby grocery store on Sunday afternoons.

The route is free for all students, faculty and staff with a valid ASU ID.
