Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio is running for re-election again and his announced opponents include those who’ve been beaten by Arpaio in the past, like Dan Saban and John Rowan.
But in a recent column in The Arizona Republic, Bob Robb floated another name. He suggested former Maricopa County Attorney Rick Romley would be “the ideal candidate, both politically and substantively.”
Robb continues by writing that Romley has the “stature, toughness and integrity” to bring about a thorough cultural change at the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
