The Arizona Democratic Party would seem to have an uphill climb to be as competitive in statewide races as it would like.
Despite what was widely considered to be a slate of solid, qualified candidates in 2014, the Democrats lost every statewide race — including Governor, Attorney General and Secretary of State.
