The Tucson bus strike has been going on for more than a week, leaving tens of thousands of residents struggling to get to work.
And optimism is not high that there’s light at the end of the tunnel to bring it to a close.

The strike has been affecting Tucson residents trying to get to work, school and other appointments. To get a sense of how bus riders are being impacted, we called Diana Garcia, the supervisor of the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Grants at the Rio Nuevo One-Stop Center in Tucson. It offers services like job development, adult basic ed, utility assistance and help with housing.
