Tempe Police Expects Delays As ASU Students Come Back To School

Students at Arizona State University have been moving into their dorms since Saturday, but this week could be even more hectic. Lt Mike Pooley is with the Tempe Police Department. He said the population of Tempe almost doubles this time of year.

"The students are coming in, you have a lot of people that come to Tempe to work, at ASU, around ASU and this becomes a lot more congested area," said Poole.

Besides a jump in population, Pooley said traffic restrictions and constructions will add to the already expected delays.
