Corporation Commission To Consider APS Request To Raise Solar Fees

The Arizona Corporation Commission today is hearing arguments from Arizona Public Service to raise the fee for the utility’s new solar customers.

APS said it needs the extra money to account for a shift in the cost of maintaining the grid, which the utility said is now being borne more by non-solar customers. Ryan Randazzo is a business reporter for The Arizona Republic and is covering the hearing, which could run into tomorrow.
