The U.S. Supreme Court’s recent decision on Arizona’s Independent Redistricting Commission was focused on the drawing of congressional districts. But the IRC is also involved with mapping legislative districts — which receive considerably less attention.
We spoke to Dan Hunting, senior policy analyst at ASU’s Morrison Institute for Public Policy, who said more focus needs to be put on legislative districts when maps for the 2020 elections are put together.
