In the wake of the killing of a young woman in San Francisco by an undocumented immigrant, the term “sanctuary city” has returned to the headlines.
It’s also been a target of some of the GOP presidential candidates.
So we decided to ask Lisa Magana, associate professor in the School of Transborder Studies at ASU, to help us learn what ‘sanctuary city’ actually means.
