Talks broke down yesterday in the effort to come to an agreement on how to get Arizona schools more than $1 billion they say the state owes them.
It’s the latest in a lawsuit, which the schools won after they argued lawmakers shorted them money during the recession.
While most, if not all, areas of public education have been affected by spending cuts made during the Great Recession, Steve Zylstra says Joint Technical Education Districts, or JTEDs, need more investment now that the economy’s turning around.
