Summer vacation is over for Northern Arizona University students. Classes get under way today at the Flagstaff campus.
NAU is the last of the three state universities to begin the fall semester — University of Arizona started last week and Arizona State University the week before.
More than 20,000 students will attend class on the NAU Flagstaff campus. School officials are expecting a record number of freshmen this year.
About 9,000 students will live on campus during the year.
