The term "roller coaster" has been applied to the United States stock market over the years. Volatility has been a favorite word in recent days as the Dow Jones Industrial Average has seen trading sessions when the market has either gone up or down at least 500 points.
But overall, the bull market, with its upward trajectory, has been in charge for several years. Is that changing to a bear market or are certain investors simply nervous about China or the Federal Reserve possibly increasing interest rates?
We talked with Marketplace Morning Report host David Brancaccio about those issues.
