Childhood hunger is migrating to the suburbs. Nationally, the number of students eligible for free or reduced lunch grew faster in suburbs than cities, rural areas and small towns between 2006-2007 and 2012-2013, according to a report released Thursday by the Arizona Fair Share Education Fund.
That trend is also showing up in Arizona. Chris Destiche, an employee with the Arizona Fair Share Education Fund, explained the issue.
