Paolo Bacigalupi’s new novel is called The Water Knife.

We’re coming to the end of another long, scorching Valley summer. But even with that reality, water still comes out of our pipes and we’re not fighting in the streets to claim our fair share.

Paolo Bacigalupi’s novel, The Water Knife, imagines a not too distant future in Phoenix when we may be doing just that, and where the wealthy are getting as much water as they want while low-income residents are trying to survive by paying $6 a gallon.
