Two members and the executive director of the rarely-talked about Industrial Commission of Arizona handed in their resignations.
The former chair and vice-chair were cashing in unlimited per diem payments. One of the former commissioners requested 292 days of per diem, which totaled nearly $15,000, and there are only 251 business days in a year. Those developments have led State Senator Kimberly Yee to announce plans for legislation that she says will increase accountability on Arizona boards and commissions.
