Arpaio Announces 'No Bust Too Small' Drug Campaign On Small-Time Dealers

Despite his legal troubles Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio continues to implement aggressive new policies at the sheriff’s department.

Recently, Arpaio announced a new campaign to fight drug crime called “No Bust Too Small.”

In an attempt to combat what he says is an increase in drug crime, Arpaio is directing his deputies to go after not just big busts, but the smaller time street dealers.

As the country turns away from the "War on Drugs," reform advocates say if you really want to work on lowering recidivism and making lasting changes, putting more resources into treatment and focusing less on punishment is the proper course of action.
