Roosevelt Row May Face Rising Rent After 'Great Places In America' Nomination

Roosevelt Row this month was named one of the “Great Places in America,” by the American Planning Association.

That was the latest in a series of accolades for the Phoenix neighborhood. But when the awards roll in, rents can rise and price some residents out of the area. Patricia Garcia Duarte spoke more about this. She is the  president and CEO of Trellis, a Phoenix non-profit that focuses on home ownership and neighborhood development.

Mark Brodie is a co-host of The Show, KJZZ’s locally produced news magazine. Since starting at KJZZ in 2002, Brodie has been a host, reporter and producer, including several years covering the Arizona Legislature, based at the Capitol.
