Arizona Opera's Production of Arizona Lady.

Arizona Opera is keeping its latest production close to home. It’s called “Arizona Lady.”

It tells the fictional story about a horse raised on a ranch outside Tucson that goes on to win the Kentucky Derby. "Arizona Opera" is the first American opera company to present the piece, which has been translated from its original German into English, with a little bit of Spanish and German. It played in Tucson last weekend and is in Phoenix Friday through Sunday. Ryan Taylor is the general director of Arizona Opera.
