The latest in a series of lawsuits involving Superintendent of Instruction Diane Douglas and the Arizona Board of Education led a Maricopa County Superior Court judge to express dismay on Friday.
At one point in court Judge Arthur Anderson told both sides to quote "get back to the business of education."
Douglas said she is already doing that.
"That's what we do in the department each and every single day. And we have some questions of law that have to be resolved because I've been given some responsibilities not just by the statutes of the state of Arizona but also by the people of Arizona," she said.
The board is suing Douglas over access to teacher files and other matters. Lawyers indicated Friday there could be no resolution outside of court.
