New Horizons Data Leads To Questions About Age, Heat On Pluto

Pluto appears to be full of surprises. As the New Horizons mission continues to send back images, scientists are getting answers, but also questions, about things like heat and geology.

They published the first paper based on what they’ve seen so far, in the journal Science. Veronica Bray is one of the authors of that paper. She’s a planetary scientist at the University of Arizona and is working on New Horizons.

Mark Brodie is a co-host of The Show, KJZZ’s locally produced news magazine. Since starting at KJZZ in 2002, Brodie has been a host, reporter and producer, including several years covering the Arizona Legislature, based at the Capitol.
