Tempe Ups Recycling Goals To 25 Percent By 2020

Tempe is hoping to nearly double the amount of waste it keeps out of its landfills by 2020.

The city currently recycles about 13 percent of its waste. The goal is to get that to about 25 percent, City Council member Kolby Granville said staffers have told him that could happen without much effort and no more money spent by the city.
