Committees Approve Bills To Settle Arizona School Funding Lawsuit

Appropriations Committees in the Arizona House and Senate Thursday approved the package of three bills that would settle the five-year old lawsuit over inflation funding for schools.

Howie Fischer of Capitol Media Services explained the issue and at what stage they are at in the process. The funding package has strong backing on the GOP side of the aisle. One of those supporters is representative Paul Boyer of Phoenix. Boyer explained why he thought it was a good deal.
