Health Officials Push Flu Vaccination As Researchers Work On More Effective Vaccine

It’s flu season across the country, and while most states, including Arizona, have seen minimal activity so far, public health officials are still urging people to get vaccinated.

Even as people do, researchers are working to try to make vaccines more effective. Dr. Joseph Blattman, an assistant professor in the School of Life Sciences and Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University, and Dr. Rebecca Sunenshine, medical director of disease control at the Maricopa County Department of Public Health, spoke about the issue.
