The reporting done by Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein tracking the Watergate break in and subsequent cover up helped take down President Richard Nixon.
But, there’s more to the story than what the Washington Post reporters wrote about in their best-seller, "All The President’s Men." Butterfield was an aide to Nixon and was instrumental in getting the taping system put into place. When he left the White House, he took boxes and boxes of documents with him. Woodward spoke about his new book.
